Default What does a stock rear camaro hatch (w/glass) weigh?

what does the complete hatch weigh? glass and all???

just doing some research

I've heard about 115 to 125 lbs.....

When I had mine off I didnt weigh it, I'd say 120lbs is a fair estimate, thats a big piece of glass.

ok so about 120lbs wow no wonder my car is so light compared to most... the sportsback i have only weighs 45lbs..... well from what their website says... thats 75lbs of savings... maybe some of u guys should look into it.... (not 1slowformula!!!!! )

when i bought the car off some older guy it was already on it.... u can buy it from rksports but its almost $900 .... i guess i just lucked out and at the time and i had no idea, hah apparently the old guy didnt either! haha YES!

you got a good deal on that one!! i personally dont like the way they look on our cars though...they look kinda gay in my eyes haha

Yea, they looked just BARELY ok on the 3rd Gens lol 4th is too rounded for it's blocky edges.

that would be the only benifit of having this though...lol...i wouldnt put it on my daily driver at all

Ive always wanted to get fiberglass/CF piece made to replace the hatch.
Somthing like an FRC/Z06 C5 fastback look to it. And replace the stock wing with a first gen style wing. Shave some weight, and I think it would look nice.

thats an excellent option, but there is one key difference... there is no lexan glass on the sportsback therefore u can still compete in most race classes and not be frowned upon for being a "full drag car". ur still considered a street car with the sportsback.
