Default what'd be better?

which one would put out more power? a 383 or 396 same cam same heads same intake everything would be the same except cubic inches the compression would be 11:1. so wat would make more power?

396 should put out a few more ponies but really not that much. 383s are usually good for FI setups, whereas the 396s are a bit better for NA i beleive. You have to decide which one to do based on that becuase the power gains are going to be minimal.

itll be a nitrous motor lik a 200-300 shot. and actually itll be lik ur exact setup about the same cam specs and same heads intake and rockers

The hp shouldn't be much of a difference between the 2 motors

396= more torque, also if using same style pistons (ie. flat top) and same heads then you will gain compression with the increased displacement

+1 on that.

To really take adantage of the 13 extra cubes you need bigger heads. (ie afr 227, 220"s). Thats when its going to matter.

For most street 400-425rwhp builds its not going to make a difference.

well it looks lik its time to do a rebuild and if im gonna do it im goin to do it right and aim for somethin higher then 400hp ive been lookin at le3 heads and hav him custom grind a cam.
