Unhappy help rubing sound and knock

i put in a cam ewp coyes double roller timing set ground timing cover to clear now after i start motor and give it gas i hear a slap on the timing cover and one of my rockers sounds like it gets loose at that moment any insight on where to start?

sound not coming from timing cover sounds like i have a rocker loose its kind of a knocking sound bent pushrod due to overtighting????????????????????

doubt a bent pushrod unless you just went crazy. and they tick when they bend. what type of pistons? JE are known for piston slap

Could your cam be walking and slapping into the timing cover? Did you torque down the cam retention plate?
