Default LTX Shootout tire specs question.

My question may seem a little dumb but, I have to ask anyway. When reading about the class rules they all say "any radial" and "10.5 max wide tire". Do they mean center section, tread with, or general tire size (255,265etc.)? Because a 265 is something like 10.44 wide when you do the metric conversion but, when you look at something like 255/50-16 M/T et street radials they have a 10.5 section width and a 9.7 tread width. If I read right the NHRA, on 10.5, allow a max of 12 in tread.

Well I guess that gives me my answer, 325 is around 10.3 tread with depending on the design. Thanks a lot TwoFast!

Nitrous cars can run any tire they want in Outlaw as far as I'm concerned. They're still gonna get beat by a Drag Radial.

yeah 15 degree or better heads will do that to a streetcar...

i think the winner was on a max effort pass but obviously Taner was way off his best....

Who drives your car Chris???? Does he drive both the streetcar and racecar???? hows the twin turbo terror coming along????

Dave was nowhere near an allout effort pass. His car may have already been in the 8's on nitrous but the car gets street raced for good money and doesn't post times. He showed up at the shootout to race Taner and beat him ,which is what he did. If Taner would have been running faster Dave would have stepped it up too.

Bob Kurgan drives the racecar. I have had Larry (Speed inc)make several passes in the street car, but for the most part I drive the streetcar. Here is My last pass in the streetcar from Saturday. On a small shot

Also, does anyone know the regulation on ballast? The rules for N/A Heads up say 3500lb race weight but they don't say anything about ballast, the NHRA leaves it up to class regulations and say no more than 500lbs of both removable and permanent ballast.
