Default Anyone running either of these A.I. cams?

Just curious to see if anyone is running either the:

A.I. 226 / 234 - .540/.575 - 110 LSA

or

A.I. 230 / 238 - .575/.575 - 110 LSA

The first is supposedly the largest stock long block cam they offer and the second is for a stock headed rebuilt motor, I'm assuming 355ci or what not.

If anyone's running them post up on how you like either and what kind of power you're making. Or if you've heard of someone running them.

I'm running the 226/234 with a stock bottom end, stock intake manifold, and my LPE heads.

It is just as fast down to the hundredths as my 383 was with the same heads, intake manifold, and a junk custom Bret Bauer 224/232 .605/.605 107.5 lsa. It will be faster when I get a couple bugs worked out.

The second one is VERY similar to mine only mines on a 112 LSA. I put down around 350 horse power on a mustang dyno and the car does 12.4x at 110mph. Stil have yet to get my wideband in and really tune it in tho.

I've been to the track with it twice and this was my best pass

RT: .030
60: 1.623
330: 4.884
1/8: 7.630
1/8 MPH: 89.28
1000: 10.01
1/4: 12.043
1/4 MPH: 110.97

It needs a little bit of tuning yet and I also have a problem with false knock retard I need to figure out. I'd also like to get a more efficient converter, mine does not seem to be that efficient on the top end.

I've been looking to junk this cc306 that's in my new car, and have really been debating about going with the AI 230/238 or getting a BRE cam similar to my old setup. Id like to see some results on more of the AI cam-only stuff though.

Lock it up!

Seems like you used to run faster a couple years ago. I saw you out there a while back.

I was running high 7.50s when you saw me but that was with a big 242/248 cam. I am running a MUCH smaller cam now and it is pretty much just as fast even with some bugs to work out yet. Other than the cam I am still running the same setup I was back then.

I've seen that one, but that's the only video I could find. I wanted some more to compare how this cam sounds against other cams. Thanks though.

Me too. I am pretty set on the 226/234 AI cam. Runner up is the CC503.

Cool.

So what about locking the converter up?

I could but I don't see it helping much locking it in 3rd gear when it is inefficient the whole way down the track up until that point. I just want to get a better converter.

A good stall is worth every penny. My stall was over $900 but it picked up 5mph over my previous one. The converter isn't a place to cut the budget.

I see what you're saying. Hell, I'd lock that bitch up in second gear!

I paid roughly $700 for the converter I just don't like it that much.
