Default Anyone knows exact difference between LS1 & LT1 GMMGs?

Is it the brackets/hangers or the whole intermediate pipe is also different. A local guy is selling his 98-02 and wanted to buy it for one of my LT1 cars.

The system is universal for both cars

Yup. If you go to the GMMG site, it says it fits '82 - '02.

I know the hangers are different, but I don't know about the intermediate pipe (don't think it's different though). Just e-mail them, they don't mind answering e-mails.

From what I know everything is identical in the system, but they(GMMG) will ask you what year you have because the hangers are different but that is all. Go for it! I just bought mine used and love it!

Its pretty much only the hangars that are different. If you buy straight from GMMG, they give you the required hangars. If not, you probably have to buy the SLP Install Kit which includes them.

A little modification to the stock exhaust is required if you still have manifolds/stock cat. You need to measure and cut off the stock i-pipe after the s-bend after the cat. The GMMG will then slip over the cut piece. Just make sure you are careful as you get awfully close to the drive shaft. Another piece of info, maybe its just because the GMMG is so big, but the car needs to be pretty high. I had the jackstands all the way extended and it just barely fit over the axle. Totally worth the price, though.
