Default How to remove coolant pipe bolts on back of heads?

I cannot seem to figure out what size bolt is the coolant passage on the back of the heads, the pipe going from head to head is the only thing holding the heads on. 14mm is too small and 15mm has to much play.

Any ideas?

9/16" ... just went out and checked to make sure

1in = 25.4mm
You can calculate the next wrench size by dividing the metric size by 25.4 and multiplying by 16 (for 16ths, or by 32 for 32nds)

we got it, we pulled both the heads at the same time they once we got it the heads out together we could get more leverage on the bolt and got it out, but we did strip it, anyone have a part number on that? it was on the drivers side head...

Take it down to the parts store, they'll have em.
I think I left one in my old heads and when I got my new Darts I had to go buy a new one.

Never heard of it, I've heard of people removing it (a car I bought had that "mod" done) which is the stupidest thing ever. Car overheats within minutes lol

my friend removed the stock set up and upped the size to help with cooling. I think he just used some rubber lines with a bigger ID

does anybody know what size thread pitch that is for the bolts. i have some extra -6an hose i might do that with.

i originally planned on just bending the pipe and running heater hose up to the front.

lol, I remember taking them bolts out, could not find a size that would fit it ,metric, or standard. So we used a size slightly small, and hammerd the socket on.
