Default I think there might be a problem with my partsladi opti

I just got my opti from thepartsladi and it looked decent until I saw a small crack on the backside of the distributor. Its got a rectangular crack and seems like nothing that would cause problems; but I don't want to do this install again so I though Id see if anyone has seen this before.

I want to pull it apart and see what's inside, but I dont want to void the warranty(if any) if I have to send it back. IDK, what do you guys think?

Just send it back, why even risk it?

I just got mine from them the other day and freaked out when I saw that on mine. I thought and still think it's a crack but I called them and it is a casting mark they claim, I guess it is because mine looks exactly the same as yours. They told me to go to the dealer to take a look at theirs because the dealer gets theirs from Delphi as well. Seeing yours makes me feel better though, the guys at partsladi said they all look like that and I can send it back but said it will look exactly the same. I just wish it said this in the ebay ad, it's not even in the picture, kind of misleading am I right?

Looks like casting flashing to me. It is easy to mistake for a crack sometimes.

I thought mine was the only one that was like this, but knowing that someone else has the same thing makes me feel better. I think fergymoto is right though, it might be casting flash.

Have you installed yours yet SmokinSS? I wanted to install it anyways and see what happens.

mine looked like that and i put 30k on it with no probs, it is just a casting mark. and its not misleading in any way because it dosnt have anything to do with how it works or will work.
