Default Help w/OBDII plug please

Searched and found the schematic. Plug pulled from 2000 Firebird. Need to connect to 96 Firebird LT1 PCM.

Problem: Diagrams I found match plug perfectly. 2-purple=serial data
4-black= ground
5-black/white= ground
16-orange=12v batt.

I can only find these wires and I have them tagged:
Tan=serial data signal wire
white/black = diagnostic request signal
purple = output field service

I have the 12 volt wire correct and ran the 2 grounds to the neg batt post. Purple wire with pin 2 and no codes, scanner error. Also tried the tan with pin 2 same thing.

this could be pin 2 or pin 9

Oh, read directions first! Plug in scanner and turn key to on position, yep I'm an iiiidioooot! Key in the on position code PO123 throttle position sensor A circuit high input. Definitely the cause of the high idle and probably everything else.

Yea, all OBDII from what I have seen is just 2, 4, 5, 16.
I know that the OBDI uses 9, and a couple of other ones, some of them went to the Auto Transmission Position Sensor when I was removing all the wires that dealt with that for my T56 Swap.

And yea, the Key on helps..
