so i found a 93 camaro for 1800 it has 135k 6 speed. has new clutch. needs new battery , rear rotor and he says it leaking coolent at the back of the motor? what would be back there to leak? also when i started it up the check gage light is on and when u look at the gages the oil gage says no oil pressure. he says it's done that since he bought the car. do u think the car is worth it?

I would be prepared to rebuild/replace the engine if you get it, but that would be why it's so cheap in the 1st place. If the body/interior looks good I would consider it as a project car.

Wouldn't do it man.
I got my 93' firebird with 85k miles, 6 speed (new clutch), zero problems and original owner garaged since day 1 for $3,000. You'd be crazy to buy that.

Looking at KBB, I believe he is requesting too much even for $1,800.
Drop the dollar to $1,200 or so to fix the few problems with it
Good project car.. If you have the money and are good with the wrenches and have the time to focus on it, get it

Lowball the **** out of him and fight hime every inch of the way up...
Perfect example, 1996 Cayanne Red Met/BLACK LEATHER Z28 "Leaked coolant and overheated all the time" for $2000. I picked it up for $1300, a waterpump, plugs, wires, fuel filter, header gasket and a thermostat later i had a beautiful Z28 for less than $1600...

No doubt you want to low ball him...
In short... If you're buying this as a daily driver and need it to get to work/school... and don't have another $500 (which I see as a minimum... ) to put in it immediately and you aren't prepared to do the work yourself, pass on it. It's the wrong car at the wrong time.
IF on the other hand you can roll it to the house/shop, yank the engine and freshen the short block (boil block, pistons, rods, crank; hone cylinders; new rings, bearings, seals, etc) get the heads cleaned up with a good valve job... cam up, replace the water pump, timing chain, opti, along with all gaskets and seals... ($3000 not including beer) If you take your time, you'll have a great ride within a few months which will give you dependable @$$-haulin' service for the foreseeable future.
At 137K you're also looking at tranny time... $1300 minimum... if you're going to lean on it (and you are...) then you can plan on an up-build of $2500.
Leaking from the back of the motor, I wouldn't give more than a grand... MAX. The odds are it was up north and filled with water and left to sit; the water froze, expanded and stressed the rear seal. If you FIX IT... and don't repeat the same mistake, it should never again be a problem... BUT if you try to fill it with stop leak, you're just screwing that block and yourself if you ever want it to be something besides a fading memory of a giant pain in your wallet, that left you stranded when you least needed to be stranded.
IF he's telling the truth about the Oil Pressure, it's most likely the sender; he either burned it with a quicky header install or broke the plug and it fell off. IF he's NOT telling the truth... and it's runnin' on low pressure, then you'd be a fool to give more than a grand... if you decide to bail on the project, for whatever reason, you can part the car out and get that back fairly quickly, even in these difficult times... engine/tranny core and interior incidentals should get you most of that back and with a little something for the substantial effort you'll have in getting that done, to boot.
Well there it is... "MY OPINION" I trust you'll treasure it as much as I do...
Good luck and we hope to see ya out at the track.
