first time out at track
First off let me start by saying i was embarrassed about my 1/4 mile time after coming home with the amount of mods i had done, but i never bothered using a DA correction calculator like the one found on Dragtime.com
First the Mods i had done: Speed Inc Cadillac Cam, 1.6RR, muffler!, tune, ASP UD pullies and a SLP CAI. stock stall, stock exhaust manifolds and the whole bit.
this is what my time slip looked like
60': 2.209
1/8: 9.085 MPH: 79.954
1/4: 14.002 MPH: 99.635
now remember this is in Phoenix AZ in July.
with the DA calculator it was saying my DA was: 4558.
now corrected from the site mentioned above, my time was 13.214 @105.604!!!!!!!!!
so that being said, i now have the long tubes on, retuned, 1LE elbow, Airfoil, and some nitto 555r's. Still on stock stall unfortunately. . .
so next time i hit the track im hoping for a 13.5-13.7 considering the long tubes really open up my top end, where as before it was extremely chocked by the manifolds. which should yeild a corrected time of under 13's! i can officially talk some smack in the Street Racing Section!!!!!
just for comparision, my buddy and i both ran that night, he has a 2000 SLP Firehawk with long tubes and a tune, he ran a 13.905 @103.843
i had him the entire time up until the 1000' foot mark, then he edged me out.
sorry if its long and sloppy!

yeah man i think 13.5 is a good estimate. After the stall and freshening up ur tranny im sure you will be low 13's might even tap the 12's which would be awesome. IM sure your gonna have to up the gear in the rear end too after you do ur 12 bolt of course.

goto dragtimes.com and find the DA calculator, they will have a huge list of tracks, it shows both firebird and speedworld, and then it asks you what day and time you were there and it finds weather reports and calculates everything for you. go give it a try if you still have your old time slip.

i know youre telling me! with just a converter i think i should be able to pull a high 12, with the DA corrected that should be around a mid 12 and i'd be super happy with a DD mid 12 car.

and that would be a high 12 in phoenix, with a corrected DA should be easy mid 12 to maybe low with a good 60'

yea i should def see high 12's with just the stall, and i actually plan on in the future getting either an AI or LE setup as well, i really do like the LE2's just pretty popular and i wouldnt mind AI.
