Default New PB 1/4 mile this time!!

Well a little story first, we tow 90 miles, get to thew track. The wind is blowing so damn hard they tell us no 1/4 mile today only 1/8 mile...I was not happy. 35 mph headwind straight down the track.

NO track prep, it rained the last 2 days and cancelled there reg programs, temp is about 60 degrees when we get there. WIND IS HOWLING!

Off the trailer

60 foot 1.58
ET 7.07@97

Well I work my way to here:
60 foot 1.46 (BEST EVER)
et 6.93@ 97.6(BEST EVER)

Starts getting dark, wind is laying down a little. Still 15+ mph headwind. And they turn on the 1/4 mile clocks.

Best of the day
60 foot 1.46
1/8 6.93@97.6
1/4 10.95@122.7

All on pumpgas, through full exhaust(no cutout) on drag radials. JUST like I street drive it. 3700+lbs

WOOOHOOOOOO!!!!

I see a high 10.80 when I get a day with no headwind!!!!!!!!!

If its just like you street drive it why did you trailer it there? Just curious.

Because the track is 90 miles from home. And yes I could drive it, But I am old enough to know better. 4L60E's are questionable.

I put 465 miles on the car in 3.5 days at a cruise in Mississippi in Oct. So its got its street cred.

Yes is a 4L60E

Thanks guys, I may take it to a different track Wed night and see if it will do better without a headwind.

Nice!!, I'm young and I know if you have a trailer use it. It sucks when you break at the track and don't have a way to get the car home. So, I trailer mine everytime.

Atta boy David!!

90 Miles? I would not risk breaking it and having no way home either. Makes no sense to not trailer it if you have one.

I was hoping the opposite would be the case.

Seems if it slows down MPH ET would suffer.

The math on the 6.93 is a 10.88, think the 15 mph headwind is worth .08?

Nah no video, I may take it to Gulfport Ms Wed night and a buddy can video it.

Weather wont be as good, but the no headwind.

DA? Prolly 500 feet. Was in the low 50's, HIGH humidity.

Look up Hattiesburg Miss yesterday at 5:30 pm.

Hell yea, nothing like a street car running 10's at the track. Just think if that car weighed 500lbs less.
