Transgo shift kit
How good are Transgo kits?I had a B&M in my 96 4x4 with the 4l60e and it shifted very good, but everyone says Transgo is the best.My tranny was rebuilt about 10k miles ago right before I bought my car,It shifts very well for stock, just to soft for me,and I am Installing a vigilante 2800 and cooler, and want to firm it up while its out.

There really is no comparison. When I got my turbo, the transmission would slip like crazy on the 1-2 and 2-3 shifts. I had the Transgo installed, and there is no more slipping (well, except for the drag radials ). Shifts feel like stock at part throttle, and hit like a banshee under full throttle. One word of caution - this is not a simple kit, and there are tricks to making it shift smoothly. Find someone who has done a lot of them and have them do it. You won't regret it.

They help out alot if you plan on adding a turbo/supercharger or heads/cam combo.
Like the guy said before me, tranny slipping is not good... and that tranny cooler you are adding will also help a bit
