Question if i turbo

hi i am a noob to the LT1 engine i have an engine from a 94 caprice classic that i am putting in another car (not telling because you will laugh to hard) i was wondering if i turbo the car (looking at twin turboing it) will i need to use a stand alone engine management system or can i just "retune" the computer

thanks

A '94 Caprice Classic should have a 305 unless it is an ex-cop car.

okay it is definitely an lt1 i know that much... and so yeah that prolly means it was a cop car... but i am not a dumby i can tell when the engine in my garage is the same one in these pictures... and the fact its a 5.7 liter means its the 350 and not the 305 which is 5.0 liters

I concur! What a sleeper that would be...I still prefer the looks of f-bodies, but that would make quite a few guys cry when they get smoked by a wagon!!!!

kinda the reason we are using this car... that and my buddy got the car for free and it had a shot trans in it sooooooo... we started looking what we could do with it... and we wanted to put in a LS but we couldnt find an LS for cheap enough... so we are working on getting a trans and all the other stuff together and throw it all together and go from there

Aftermarket engine management is the way to go if you are going to go with low impedance injectors for higher flow and higher hp apps. What are the goals for the car?

700 N/A is stretching it very far. I'd say 600 is prolly the MOST you will get out of an LT1 N/A on an outrageous setup.
