Default quick stock crank and I beam rod question

How high can you spin a stock crank and I beam rods without having a problem? Thinking of shortblock options and what I absolutly need. Car will make 500+ Fwhp. Thanks, Zach

If sticking with a stock pcm I don't think you have anything to worry about, just make sure the balance and machining are good.

Well I guess I meant more like the ability to stay together at 6800 rpm shifts.

Pretty much any I beam rod with good bolts is going to be fine at that kind of RPM

By stock pcm I did not mean stock programming, I meant the computer hardware which is good to 7-7200rpms.

What about the stock crank? I'm wondering because I have a couple of shortblocks I'm looking at and I just want to make sure that a stock crank would be ok under the top end that'll be going on.
