Long story short, you are curious about trading a '94 formula M6 with high mileage for a '95 T/A that needs paint, tires, and a back window but also comes with a used 383 that needs assembling. I'd ask for money on my end. The formula needs nothing. The T/A is gonna need 3 grand worth of paint and engine work to make it more worthwhile than the formula. Is it worth it to you?

I wouldn't do it. You can build a better engine for that and its going to have more problems then then you think all cars do at least you know what your cars are.

I'd start saving for a LS1 swap into your 94 Formula.

honestly it's not worth it to me. the guy belives that he is sitting on a gold mine. he like a lot of lt1 owners still think their cars are worth a ton of money, because the remember the prices a few year back. fact of the matter is they aren't worth much at all. also he does not realise you can buy assembled motors with the same set up for 2.5k ish. i dunno. but he decided not to trade even though i offered him 1k with my car, but i guess i need to have my head examined..

i don't think he understands that with a slick paint job, and the car running, that he won't get much more than 5.5k.

he thinks he is going to put the car together and go run 10's even though it has a 10 bolt, and he is not capeable of driving it to a 10 sec pas.. and it will require about 200 shot to achive that pass with the right tires, and axle

LOL... Well that right there is your problem... The TA pile, is worth about a grand; you offered a grand AND your car. Let's hope that he's just a nice guy and didn't want to take advantage of you; 'cause the alternative isn't good for his long term forcast...

well, i was interested, because i had the car before he did, and i know every thing about the engine, i had all the machine work done, infact the deck has my name stamped on it, and i knew i could put together the engine. but yeah. screw it.. i think that may not have been smart on my part
