Default ***Best ignition box for traditional distributor and F.A.S.T standalone, etc.**

Im gonna be running a single turbo solid roller 383 using a conventional MSD probillet distributor at the back of the intake, crank trigger setup, and F.A.S.T standalone. What would be my best option for a ignition box? MSD HI-7? crane fireball HI-6? any input is appreciated , thanks.

btw the guy im getting the motor off has a VERY low mile MSD HI-7 he'll give me a deal on but i wanna make sure im getting the best

not gonna be running any class, gonna be a street car. Why is the MSD hi-7 illegal? since im not worried about class regulations it is the best option?

i understand that hence why i asked if it was the best option since im not woried about class regulations

but im still curious as to why the hi-7 is illegal in certain classes..i guess that can only be a good thing since i guess it is giving an advantage or something

I am currently running the 7AL3..putting the MSD Digital 7531 in tomorrow. I don't think either is for daily street use.

I run the MSD Digital 7... I believe it's the 7531 box, same as what Z8's has..... it's programmable with slew but I use very little of it's features since the FAST has most of the stuff already in there for timing retard and stuff.. I do use it's launch/burnout limiter though. Works great....

This ignition combined with the HVC II Coil will ignite an ASSLOAD of fuel/air regardless of cylinder pressure....
