what exactly is the 96-97 installation kit for the loudmouth? if i get creative and have a bit of talent, can i install it w/o the kit. i don't feel like buying it if i don't have to.

Well, I had the lm1's on my 95 and only had to get a pipe S shaped. DEFINATELY not worth the 100 they wanted for it. You could install everything yourself then take it to a muffler shop and have them fab up the last pipe to attatch it to the Y pipe..

I'd just use the installation kit. I love my SLP LM 2 on my 97 T/A. The kit is only like $36 at ws6store.com

$36 isn't bad, it was about $100 for 94-95=stupid for a small pipe like that.
