Default lt1 car for 2000?

I have 2000 or so I can use right now to buy me another project car. I know its going to take a good search but is it possible to find a lt1 car for 2000? maybe 2500 if I have to? I was wanting to do a s10/lt1 swap but from what ive read it would just be cheaper to buy a lt1 car instead. I have a grand am for a dd so I just need something that runs and the body isnt too tore up. It seems like everyone wants way too much for piece of crap cars these days.

For 3000 I bought my 6-speed 96 Z28. 132,000 miles and it needed a headliner and a little bit of cosmetic work. Runs good and pulls hard but after a couple months I lost 3rd

I'm sure you could find one, but more than likely alot of miles (obviously) and probably a pretty rough look. But who knows man. Good Luck.

Project car...yes. Immaculate show car...no. You should easily be able to find a car for $2000-$2500 that will need a little bit of TLC.

I am also on the search for my cousin for a 93-97 Camaro or Trans Am.. preferably M6 for him for around $3000-$3500... I realize this will mean higher mileage, but he just wants a decently reliable, but good lookin F-body as he is dealing with an 86 S-10 Blazer and a 03 S-10 right now and is looking into the car scene.

We are in Iowa and everybody is trying to sell them for WAY too much out here.. $5-$6k for 130k miles on an m6? hells no

Luckily I bought my 97 for 6500 A4 with 98k on it. (few light bolt-on's also)

Let me know guys! PM me if you know of anything kind of around me for sale
