Unhappy What is this connector?

I just noticed on the front of the motor by the air pump, there's a 2 wire connector that has a clip behind it like an injector harness. Nothing is plugged in to it.What is this-should it be connected?

check the A.I.R. TUBE on that side and see if theres a sensor tied to it. if its not connected then its because of the smog pump recall. a sensor was disconnected and capped off and left to hang there.... atleast mine was. cant remember what it looked like though....

My buddy stopped by and plugged it in to the air pump just now.I feel stupid! Anyway,my car has been dying lately and the pump continues to run off and on and the injectors click on and off.Would this be why?

I have seen it before, I think it does have something to do with the AIR system, but I know it's not important.

^^^No, the air pump should not affect the injectors.
