Yank Converter ???
I installed a PY3400 with mods in sig and I don't think I like it. I have never driven a stalled car before and around town it just feels sluggish. Under it flash stall the only thing a can compare it to is driving a car with a badly slipping clutch. I was under the assumption that is you didn't stab the throttle that the converter would act like normal but it is not the case, is it just me and I need to get used to it or is there something wrong with the converter.

Did you buy the converter new or is there any chance you got something damaged or not truely Yank??
I have never had a Yank but everyone I trust who has them likes the drivability of them.
The PY I think is a nitrous/blower converter so maybe it is just missmatched to your setup???
I like Edge but don't think I have ever heard a credible complain about Yank I would not hesitate to use one.

I've never heard anything bad about yank either. In fact, just positive reviews.
Are you getting a tcc lock up? I once had that issue where it would not lock until 88 mph--and it turned out to be the aftermarket computer tune. It too drove like a badly slipping clutch until the car was diagnosed and re-tuned to lock up at the factory setting; I think the factory speed is 44 mph??

If you never drove one, it's going to take some time to get used to. Once you do, you wont look back. When I dont drive my Trans Am for a few months, I have to get used to the way the converter feels. Chances are once your used to a after market converter, if you drive another V8 F-body with an auto that has the stock converter, you wont like it.

It was used but it went to Dave at Yank for a cut and clean and I purchased it directly from them so I know it is a yank. On the highway it is just fine but surface street driving, < 40 mph it feels sluggish, if I flash stall it and stay in it, it is fine but I don't need to rev to 3500 rpm to go to the grocery store I am pretty sure that is how people get tickets. Dave at yank told me that the streetability would be great but I am not sure about it. I don't know if madtuner tunes the transmission as part of their performance package but maybe that has something to do with it as well, I am not very happy with the tune.

I have 3.23 gears but I don't know if they have to break in or I am just getting used to it but it seemed a lot better to drive today, there is only 150 miles on everything so it seems like everything is just kind of finding its home

Stalls feel like a slipping transmission because thats what they are. It just takes some getting used to. Some 3.73s will help when driving around town, but be aware that when you punch it on street tires traction under 50mph is nearly non existant with a geared+stalled automatic .
Each brand rates the stalls a bit differently as well so stalls rated the same from different companies will feel very different.....for DD's the vigi's are known to be a bit tight for their ratings, so you may like a vigi 3200 a lot better then the more aggressive yank.
I personally love loose stalls, but my car is not a traffic driven DD anymore, and it depends on what the driver is used to and is willing to tolerate.

u sure its locking up? that could be the issue, i kno mine had that issue check ur brake switch on the peddle to see if its engaging... mine was unscrewed and wouldnt engage... oh and make sure u have ur pcm tuner tune out stall wall, set ur lockup mph, and elminate the 100mph lockup in 3rd gear... that fucked me at the track i was pissed lol.

It's just the name of the game. You have a mid range stall, and you give up some of the low rpm range...it just slides through until it flashes. Just have to get used to it. Because as stated, they're not exactly designed to be optimum for grocery go getting, rather stand in it and go to town blasts.
