Blow by, is my engine on its way out?
Was on the way to work yesterday and my buddy and I decided throw in a run on the highway. A few seconds after we punched it a ton of smoke started coming from the back of my car. I thought it was because my oil dipstick is not sealed at the top the little piece with the grommet broke of the top and it sprayed oil all over the headers. There is oil on the headers but it was a lot of smoke and it wasn't smoking in the engine bay but I was also going 80. A tech at work said that my rings could be on the way out.
I'm gonna do a compression test this weekend to make sure, but I wanted your opinions. Thanks in advance.

Could be rings, could be a valve seal that was on it's way out just totally kicking the bucket and dumbing a lot of oil down the valve. I agree though, wait for the test. Depending on your mileage, you should see about 180+ PSI, ideally around 190psi though. I don't remember if we push 210 new, or 200. :\

My Rings on my Stroker haven't fully seated yet cause it runs really rich at high-RPM's due to the O2 Sensors out. It never threw a code for them so I never thought it was them, but when the Tranny blew it finally threw the code.
I only have 4600 miles on it, it has a good PCV setup, so when I get it back together and with new O2's in it I'll warm it up and finish seating the Rings.

Sorry I didn't mention it. It has 140,000 miles on it. It was cold out the car was not completly warmed up but it was still warm. I can't really tell if it smokes in the morning cause the steam but when I leave work and the car has been sittin all day it doesn't smoke. I punched it on the way home today and it was good, no smoke or anything.
