Catalytic Coverter Question.
I'm pretty sure I need a new cat, the one thats on there now smells like fuel and is probably the source of the rattling I hear, even though it was put on a year ago. I changed the 02 sensors, but probably too late, damage already done to the cat.
Anyways, does anyone know where I can find a 1994 cheap single cat that will pass california smog? All the ones I have found while looking are $200-$300, where are the $60 cats I remember reading about? I have JBA shorties with a ceramic coated y-pipe, how come I see on some it looks like it comes with a new y-pipe??
Edit: just found this:
http://www.magnaflowcatalyticconvert...tion=0&page=35
this site legit? If so, I'm going for the $78 universal fit CA converter

Yea that magnaflow cat will work. I thought I read somewhere that this beautiful state passed a law the beginning of this year saying that websites can no longer sell highflow cats to Cali. Dont quote me though, maybe someone else will chime in.
