Default Valve cover mod ?'s after searching

I have the Comp pro mag 1.6 SA's and I have started to clearance the stock valve cover. It still seems like its going to be close. I was wondering if anyone has ever used 2 sets of VC gaskets to make the cover sit a little higher? Is this okay or is it asking for leaks? Also, Im still a little unsure about the PCV part. Your supposed to bend it in but where? Do you have to bend it in all the way down or just halfway? Anybody got any good pictures of this mod? What exactly is hitting it the sides of the RR's?

Cutting or crushing the supports should be enough to clear promags, it's a pretty common.
You shouldn't need to double the gaskets. Although, I've seen it done sucessfully with cork.

Height wise you will not have a problem unless your adjusting nuts are extra tall then yes it will contact the top of the valve cover. All you have to do is take a pair of pliars or vice grips and bend the lip on the cross brace straight. That lip hangs up on the trunions between rockers and keeps the valve cover from seating.

If the rockers should hit the covers all you need to do is grind down the support webbing on the covers. I had to, not a big deal. Everything fits perfect now.

After measuring to the tops of the poly locks and then measuring the height of the valve covers it looks like its going to be VERY close to the top of the VC's. 1/4 inch or less. This is a little too close for comfort for me. I have the polylocks that are right at 1" tall. I believe these are the big ones. Are these what everyone else are running?

I got them to fit now but I dont like the way I had to crush the PCV box. I can never find pics of how other people have done it anyone have any? Will there be any way the engine could fail because of this? I would say the hole is about 25% smaller now.

I didn't do anything to the PCV box, I just ground down the supports til flat. I did grind on the material on the top of the underside, but this was unneeded.
