10-04 previous post.. should have +5 v between ref voltage gray wire and ref ground black wire. Then move positive lead to dark blue wire.. it should read 1 V or lower with throttle closed (TPS%=0) and smoothly increase to 4.5-5.0V as throttle opens all the way (TPS%=100). If there is a flat spot or the voltage jumps erratically replace the TPS.. Also you could try your scantool w/ignition on and engine off to see if it gives dependable voltage readings, I have never tried that procedure. ...Bob D

2.5v WOT is WAAAAY too low. Should be 4-4.5v WOT. I actually don't get over 4v with mine, but I chalk it up for being a stupid 93 lol

2v is also waaaaaay too high for closed throttle. Should be .54-.68v

If you have a scanner, you don't even need a meter. The scanner will read voltage and throttle position as you move the pedal with the key ON. Engine does not have to be running.

i have a scanner, but i dont know how to use it for crap. its an AutoTap. I use it to check my SES light, and data logging. as for checking voltage on individual parts, i have no idea on how to do that.

Look through the parameters until you find it. It's not rocket science.
