The AFR are untouched but I sent the flow numbers to Ai To get a custom cam and that what i ended up with Im gonna be recieving my pcm probably next week from pcmsforless.com but i plan on dyno tuning some time later.... my goal is somewhere from 425 to 450 at the wheels with the six speed.

IMO, if the AFRs are untouched, I'd expect around 410-420rwhp, and that cam isn't going to fair as well as a bigger cam could on a 383. 383s need lots of duration to fill the cylinders, and that cam is better suited for stock ported heads on stock shortblocks. AFRs by themselves, while flowing better than stock, provide comparable gains to mildly ported stock castings when used with the same cam. No doubt, stock for stock, they are better than stock heads, but it's the POTENTIAL for those heads that will really wake your setup up.
If you go with a bigger cam, and get the AFRs ported, I don't see 450+ being a problem in the hands of a good tuner, easily. Otherwise, 410 to 420.

Online one of the most common mistakes is to focus on one aspect of the vehicle's performance to the exclusion of everything else. Of course the car will make more power at high rpm with a large cam. Question is, will it run better?
Good luck with your project!
