Exclamation car is stuck in parking lot! help asap!

so im driving down the road and i hear a "pop" and lots of smoke. first think i thought of was radiator hose but both were good, had coolant everywhere so i figured maybe i cracked the radiatior some how. filled it with sprinkler water at target and i have water just pouring out of the bottom of my water pump.

could it just be a gasket?

and what about my opti?? think it will be ok?

doubt it is just a gasket
and yes if coolant is gushing from the bottom of the water pump tou run the risk of killing the opti....

Sounds like coolant is coming out of the weep hole located at the bottom of the water pump.

mine did this and the pump was shot.

best way to find out is get under the car or use a mirror and let the car run and see if its coming out of the hole at the bottom of the pump if so replace the pump and OPTI.

well i tried to start it before i left, to make sure i had no noise coming from the heads.. the first time it turned over and died right away.. so i tried one more time and it started right up no hesitation or stumbling, so im gonna hope the opti ok.

could i do an "electric drive kit" or better off oe or straight electric wp?

Yeah i would still buy a new opti you might as well you are there already and if you dont it wont be long before the opti goes out.

yeah buy an EWP it will free up some extra HP and you can use the bad pump u have now.
