Default LT1 with 373's & 2800 stall...

Hello all. Curious to know what the "added" torque/HP/ET, is to a 94' LT1 TA daily driver, with 373's & 2800 stall. Also a stage 2 flowmaster. I have an 02 LS1 M6. It seems the LT1 is way quick off the line vs the LS1, but from a roll the LS1 M6 murders the LT1.

Hmmmm depending on your elevation and DA you should feel a nice gain,i personally would get atleast a 3200 stall but you should be able to knock off 7 tenths with the stall and gear. what other mods does the 94 have?
which flowmaster is a stage 2?

The elevation is sea level, (South Florida). The only other mod is a CAI. I also have an additional coolant line that keeps the motor at 160-170 degree's most times. I had a few "experts" opine that the optimal stall for a stock LT1 & the 373 gears was somewhere in 2600-3000, so I chose 2800. On a 1/4 tank or less of gas, at WOT, the stock tires just roast from start. I assume DR's would help.

Ahhhh sea level
lucky doggg, on drag radials you will get much more lateral acceleration, time for some Longtubes,1.6rr and a tune should see 12s with ease.
you should check out javier97z or www.zmydust.com he is on here and has done very well with his Z.

I got 12.9s running longtubes dumped, 3.73s, and a 3200 stall. Oh yeah a mail order tune to get rid of stall wall and I still have the stock air filter assembly. So you should see 12s easy at your elevation.

I forgot to mention, I use the HPP tuner for the gear change and shift point/mph changes. It took about 6 times to get it running good, regarding shift points. I have a slight stall slipage, but I think most other drivers in the car wouldnt notice.

I would guess you should run in the low 13 to very high 12 second range.

Converter and gears arent going to pick up horse power, most likley the converter may cause you to dyno less. My car with LTs, Vigi 3200 and an open Borla, ran 12.8s, still had the stock gears.

I also ran 12.8s with a 3200 stall, LTs, and stock 3.23s. Had mad tune and quite a bit of UMI rear suspension parts as well, but not "full" boltons. H/C's the stock shortblock before I finished seeing how far I could go.

A good stall is a MUST for any kind of performance in an A4.

Same here on the suspension, the drag radials I had were a worn out old set of Nittos, best 60 cut was a 1.72. Even though I'm doing heads and cam now, I also wish I would have stuck to the bolt on stuff just to see how far in to the 12s I could have gotten. I dont care about making the car a tin can or going nuts with it, but I really think a good running full bolt on LT1 can be an easy/consistent 12.30-12.50 car.

I agree, my goal was to run 12.5s in a full weight street trim z28...then I went a bit overboard-twice!
