Normal LT vs. Stepped LT, any gain?
http://www.camaroz28.com/forums/show...tepped+headers
Here is a topic that I started a while back, to see what other guys thought about, whether it would be worth it to buy a stepped header over a normal 1 3/4" header..Im debating on the switch, since Im swaping out my topend in a couple weeks...I cant decide whether its worth the additional $800 to switch..Anybody?

Funny you mention this, I was doing some reading from David Vizard this morning and he had a chart showing Max CFM flow of the head in correlation to header primary size. Around 220 on the exhaust required 1.75 inch exhaust primary. Those 215trickflows flow around 210 without a pipe so add around 20cfm on top of that with the a pipe. Wouldn't be a bad idea to go with the stepped headers if you have the money. You could always sell yours so the cost wouldn't be such a big difference.
For what its worth I have some AFR 216 runner heads on my car that flow 216cfm without a pipe and I have the Kook Stepped headers.
