Default Would i benefit from a larger TB?

My new setup will involve headers, a cam, catback, ported intake and a few other things. So would i benefit from a larger TB?

I know ed was using a 58mm on this 383, when he went to a 355 he when back to a stock TB and Still ran some 10.30s in this TA.

So unless you stepping up in cubes , i'd stay with a stocker and invest in something else

Cool i Had a 355 in my 95Z. The time he runs is great and all, but im just really trying to say, its not needed for a 350 or 355

Overkill for your car. Maybe a 52-58 on heads/cam/n2o, but not a bolt-on 350.

It wouldn't be much. I would save the cash until you did some head work.

I agree with ss.slp.ls1. It might sound a little bit better, but that's about it. Wait to put on a tb when you have heads/cam. If your car won't see the track and you're not that worried about it, then just stick with what you have until you start to crack the engine open and create a reason for more airflow.

Someone check out my build (sig). I curently have the 52mm TB. No power adders. Do you think I would benefit from the 58mm TB?

I'd say that your 52mm TB is capable of supporting the horsepower you are making. You might have a marginal gain by switching to a 58mm, but I would only do so if you could sell your 52mm TB to make up some of the cost of the 58mm TB. Then It might be worth the swap. I have a 52mm TB on my cam-only car, which is over kill, but I got a good deal, so I picked it up now, and I can use it when I go heads/cam/n2o.

You might pick up a pony or two. Not worth changing it out unless you have a buyer for your 52 like SS.SLP said. I'm surprised you didn't buy a 58mm when you had Lloyd port your intake and did the H/C swap.

Thanks for the replies. I am going to get a new dyno tune Saturday and I thought about getting one and testing bots sizes. Sounds like it aint worth the expense at this time.

In regards to just bolt-ons, I'd go with a EWP before anything else.

I dont want an EWP. I will give up those ponies for piece of mind reliability if i want to drive it distance.

+1...that would be good for another 10-12 hp. The Meziere HD pump is a nice upgrade.
