My friends car has a problem and we don't know what it can be i need some help . The car is a 1995 a4 camaro when hes racing he car from a stop or on a roll his car red lines in first gear or some thing. He drops the gear and punches it and then car start popping really fast when its in high rpm had slows that car down then it will shift in to 2nd and run all the other gears fine why do you all think it does that hes looses like 3 tenths of a second from that. His track time was 13.4 and now that its doing that he runs 13.7 any ideas

Sounds like he's hitting the rev limiter.

Sounds like a tranny shifting problem. That's why I hate auto's.

Can it be that? I thought that it will do that in every gear not just first, but if it is that, thats a free mod right how do you take it off?

Yea i know i had a a4 and it did that too but i did not know what it was ...so i got a new camaro and now i have a m6 and im lovein it.
