valve springs shims??? are the lt4 hotcam kit valve springs shims the same as stock shims. i bought a used lt4 hot cam kit and got everything but the shims but i have some stockers wondering if they are the same thickness for proper height?

my hotcam kit didnt come with shims either. i believe all the hardware that comes with it(locators, locks, retainers) should give you the correct height w/out shims. the only difference is the spring pressure. everything else is the same as a stock LT1. obviously it doesnt hurt to check but i think there not needed.
