Default simple exhaust question

Would an single in/out muffler fit my car without having to get true duals? Im just curious to know how it would work since we have dual in/single out.

as long as you have a y pipe to merge both headers than you can run one pipe to A single muffler in/out

huh? What exactly are you trying to do?
So you have a stock 2 into 1 into 2 exhaust correct?

What?
So you already have a single in/dual out muffler with two pipes out the back.
And you want to install a single in/single out muffler AND keep two pipes out the back? That doesn't make any sense.

Could you possibly be referring to true duals? Single pipes from the headers, x-pipe cross over, and individual mufflers (like bullet mufflers) on each pipe?

well i thought it would make sense but what the hell! i just thought it would be possible but it seems like too much of a hassle unless i was going true duals. Oh well, i'll just tuck a flowmaster 80 until im able to afford true duals in the future...

they make muffler delete pipes that I've seen on ebay, so in theory you can purchase this pipe and use it to replace the stock muffler, then run a single 40 series in the middle of the I-pipe somewhere

meh not a fan of the crossflow 80 series imo

the 40 series sounds better to me, has more of the traditional flowmaster sound

I assume you're wanting the dual outlet to look how it does now, and a 2OTL (two pipes side by side out the left side) wouldn't interest you...
