Default Slave help!

Okay so I was replacing my clutch this weekend and with the tranny out and decided to start the car to make sure nothing was binding well ended up being stupid bcs my slave popped and puked its guts out. So I replaced my slave today. filled the slave up w/ fluid then connected it then bled the system until no air was coming out of the resovior. Went to pump the clutch pedal and after pushing it in about 30 times still no pressure....any suggestions on what else i should do would be great

Don't know, but when I replaced my clutch, slave and master about a year ago I had to pump the hell outta of the slave with my hand before I mounted it to the car with my brother feeding fluid from the top and watching for bubbles. Took forever and finally felt it firming up after all of the bleeding. Keep getting the air out and make sure all your lines are vertical to allow the air out and up the top. As you already stated make sure you DO NOT pump the pedal with the slave unbolted from the car while you are doing this.

Slave didn't come with the line attached??? you need to bled it, still has air in it, what Dave said is right, you have to bleed it by hand off of the car by having the line perfectly straight up, pump the crap out of it, then after you feel some pressure building off the car, bolt it on the car and you really shouldn't have to bled it that much.

hmmm yeah thats basically how i did it....first i filled the slave w/ fluid then connected it to the nipple on the line and then filled the line w/ fluid until the resovior had some. Then With the slave vertical and the piston facing down i started pumping by hand...did about 30 or so pumps and the air bubbled had stopped coming up after about 10 pumps but the slave never gets any more firm. I was told it should get rock hard like painfull to push in hard. I can never get it that hard no matter how much I pump it and then I just put it inthe tranny and the pedal never gets stiff after 30+ pumps. The thing is I'm pretty sure I can hear air in the lines not when I pump it but when the piston is returning out but I have it vertical so I'm at a loss

for some reason there was air inside the system that wasnt going up and was just getting regurgitated in the lines. So we messed around with it and threw some more fluid in it. I think for some reason with that rubber piece in the reservoir was making it look like it was full but when we pulled it off it wasnt filled up to the step like it was supposed to be. basically it was all just a clusterfuck but it works now
