I would say coated pacesetters because they are cheap, fit GREAT, and will last a long time in most cases. The Lpp's would be the best if they get the fitment issues corrected, because they are priced nice and are stepped to 17/8, wich is nice for big displacement or forced induction. Although if the kooks ever come down in price, they would be the best by far!

Who said they were junk? Whomever said that is a f-ing retard. These are some of the best quality headers for the money! Great quality steel, well built. The only issues the first batch had were some minor fitment things. Nothing major. The new style they are supposed to be putting out won't have any fitment issues so they say. But again, anyone that says these are garbage needs a good nut kicking. One of my local builders who runs nothing but the best can't wait for the new style to come out. Showed him mine and he agreed hands down they were some of the nicest headers to be put out. Lets put it this way, tons of guys on here run Pacesetters and love them,, the LPP's blow them away and you never hear of guys saying Pacesetters are junk so....

Look on the second page of this forum - you'll see the thread. It's forever long though.

Obviously, I would say Kooks are the best widely available header for the LT1. Someone might offer some custom headers that are better, but they wouldn't be cheap.

Based on everything I've read, the benefits of a stepped design are somewhat debatable. Considering your setup, you might see some benefit. I guess some people also run straight 1 7/8" headers. I think Kooks also has them available in that size.

Yeah so.........Edelbrock or Kooks is going to be my choice.

The LPP are really REALLY nice looking. But after 90ish pages of reading im still not sold on them. Ive got alot of money in this car and Id hate to half *** it on a set of headers that may or may not fit. Anyways thanks so much for the info.

Ill post some pictures when its all said and done.

Harness and the fuel system is on the way now. A2000 Biotch!

If you get Kooks, have them coated by Jet Hot. I got mine through Maryland Speed, and it was a good experience.
