Default Anybody seen the new stainless headers out?

Ok I have seen the post about the guy getting the ebay headers for his car and being happy with them. But he purchased the ones with the emissions fittings. Well as I was searching ebay I came across another set that appear to be a copy of the LPP's? Only difference I see is their not stepped.

You will see what I'm talking about if you search there for these vendors. Also mods let me know if this is too much and I will take down what I need to. I just want some info on these headers as I'm looking to change out my Mac mids.

E-Sales Race Distribution-appear to be a Pacesetter copy, have emissions fittings, 321 stainless steel, 3" collectors, Primaries are 1 3/4"

PitStop Tune Shop-appear to look just like the LPP, same collector, the O2 bungs in the same spots, same design Y pipe, even has the slots in the flange that LPP had, Primary Tube Size is 1 3/4 Inch Diameter, 3 Collector Diameter, 16-gauge stainless steel, 3/8" flange, S304 Stainless Steel

Time Reaction-look the same as above but just a bit more expensive, even uses the same description

for reference here are the LPP's

Why the Hell did it take up to 15 years for LT1 affordable header "copy-palooza" to take place.

I have no idea if the ones pictured are stepped or not or if they have a merge spike. I was wanting to call them but they do not list a phone number, I'd have to email them. I'm seriously considering taking a chance and buying a set of the LPP replicas. I just don't want to be out $500.

Little off Topic but does anybody know if you can still pass emissions with Race style headers, if they dont examine the car? I heard all they do is plug it in and if there are no Check Engine codes your good to go.

Depends on the emissions regulations of the state you're in.
Some states only scan the car for codes, no codes = pass.
Cali is widely known as the Smog **** state. The restrictions here are tight; scan, visual inspection, and sniffer test on rollers.

X2 what he said above is correct there are some states still doing tailpipe sniffer tests while others use the plug into ur diagnostic port gig...

They quit doing the sniffer by me, they only test 96' and newer with OBD2 Port, lucky me! Back on topic...The 2nd set of headers look real nice, I think i may just have to get me a set sometime.

Thing is those are 304 stainless, the LPPs use 321 which is a better material, i mean for 70 more id go with LPPs, well depends on new pricing.
