Default fans arent coming on

Ok i just bought this 93 camaro and the heads were cracked and radiator busted and clutch was shot well i finally got it back together over spring break and the fans would not come on, right now they are just hardwired in. I have replaced all the relays, temp switch, and the coolant temp sensor. Only thing I can think of is that it is a bad wire or a computer problem. What do you guys think?

Stock fans don't come on until almost 230 degrees. Are you sure it's getting to that temperature?

I also have a 93 and mine did the same thing. I replaced everything and it wouldnt ever come on. The care would be overheating and still no fans. How do you get the codes reset. Because i even changed the computer and still no luck

wow thats crazy whats up w/ all the 93 having this problem. i have it to but im not worried about it i kinda like the way i have it setup right now. i just wired it to the ign and it turns on and stays runing with the key. so after i give it a couple runs down the track i could cool the car down just by turning the ign. on

Either having a scanner clear them or by disconnecting the battery for about 2minutes (some suggest 5, but I've heard even 10).

What I'd do if my fans didn't work (I always wanted to make one of these ):

You have a 93, so this doesn't really pertain to you, but newer PCMs I believe can write codes to a more permanent memory that will persist through power loss. Those don't trip an SES though, since they're just stored.

Now for you: If a code follows you through computer swaps, then it's a sure sign of the problem not being fixed (whatever the code is for).

If the computer is reset or power removed, the codes are erased.
