sorry for the dumb questoin but i wanted to get you guys opinion. I am in the process of picking up a 95 tranam witha built motor and the quesotin i have is will be ok to travel long distance ( 450miles ) .I dont see a problem with it but the guy i am buying it from is a little scared that something might go wrong lol ( his builder told him not to drive that far lol) basic ally its a built lt .60 over with 383 stroker kit with 292 comp cam , ported heads and so on, all the supporting mods. the builder is saying that since its .60 over that the drive is a little to long but i was think differetn, what do u you guys think? Should i worry about the drive or not

I've always not liked the idea of buying something that already had a built motor. I'm sure there are very successful stories and that's all fine and good, but **** still happens and it can be devastating. My advice to you is buy a f-body that suits your needs, whether it be a rolling chassis or something that may have a few bolt on's and still looks decent inside and out and then build the motor.

It might sound like a good deal but why spend money on something that's not mechanically sound. I'd say skip that and find a f-body locally that you can inspect throughly and make a informed decision. Besides it would be a hell of a lot better to start your own build up rather then taken on someone elses project !
