Default I finally got me a F-BODY

It's true. I've been lookin, and finally found one I could afford lol. Its a V6, but I'm hoping there is a thread to show me what I need for a swap. I already have an extra LT1 in my back yard. I'm open to criticism, I honestly dont care about the car much yet lol.

Tell me what you think.

congrats on your first F-body! personally you have alot of work on your hands (body wise). you could plan on making it into a stripped out street/strip car.. you have a great slate for that. but with the right TLC and enough money you could have yourself a real solid car.

It runs, but its far from being ready for a turbo lol.

Now I'm not so sure I got as food of a deal as I thought...

I priced them around here and wasn't too happy but this was way cheaper. I did find one for 3k but it was hooded out, the only plus was t-tops lol.

I found this one for 1800, I gave 1500.

Be honest, did I get jipped?

Congrats bud!!

The V-6's are still very fun little cars. My buddy had one in high school and the little bastard was fast and a lot of fun to drive with the stick.

Get those PUKE firebird wheels off there and do the body work and you'll have a nice ride on your hands.

There was an old man on pass time (the show) with a black V-6 like yours running a 75 dry shot and he was pulling like a 13.7.

I didn't think that was too bad at all. You could wax the hell out of a lot of 5.0 mustangs with that and run with the mod motors. Would be funny as hell to pop the hood and show them the v-6 haha

Looks like there's a lot of work to be done. Should keep you busy!

P.S. Take those rear brake lights off and put back on the OEM ones. Those things are horrible.

I'll be honest. You did. It's a 6 cylinder and needs a lot of work. It's not that hard to find a Z28 in that price range or a little more.

Congrats on your first F-body!! My first was a V6 also!
I do think you could have got a running Z28 in similar condition for the same or a tad more.
On the plus side you are a body guy and already have the LT1 engine, so its more like a cool project. Some TLC and it will be a nice car.
Looks like the car was white b4

I'm going to have to partially agree :\ If it's got a solid-straight frame (by the looks of the body, you'd be lucky is it was ) then you're at least on the right track for a good drag car at least. I personally think the interior is a bit ratty, but that's me. If it was already an LT1 with even an A4, I'd say yes it was a good deal.

I don't mean to rain on your parade Look at it this way: You have something that will give you lots of experience in doing things, and that's good!

See if you can find a totaled (t-boned or bad rear ended car) for cheap that has an LT/LS motor in it. Then you'll have all you need: Cross member, transmission, wiring and computer. If you plan to do an LT car, make sure it's a totaled LT car and not an LS

Decent idea, but with the bumper and body work needed, I don't know if he'd be able to make any profit. Even if all he did was the bumper, and got a black one from a yard, it's iffy :\ Low miles could change that though!

MAKE A TURBO 3.8 OUT OF IT! I'm assuming it's a 3.4, but I think the 3.4 and 3.8 have the exact same bellhousing pattern.

Thanks ya'll, for your honesty lol The only real regret I have is the lack of T-Toppage lol

There is absolutley no frame damage, I might take closer pics to show yous guys. It really shouldn't be hard to fix. Esp. if some one has a bumper layin around ?? hint hint lol

I didnt think the interior was that bad but I will check closer when I clean it all up. It has the handles shaved and newish looking tint.

Does anybody have some tail lights too?? lol

I have to wait on finding another car for the same reason I didn't get the other car I mentioned, I need to pour a big slab, enclose it and get some big tools I've been putting off.

I have a 94 Z I am parting out, the drivetrain is gone other than the interior. No front end parts either as it has been wrecked. PM me if you need some stuff, the tail lights on it are nice.
