Just for a cam [roller] only, there is no break-in.

I'm going to assume you bought the other necessary parts too, right? Valve springs, retainers, rockers, etc., and not JUST the cam?

Looking at it I still need to rev the engine to around 2000 rpm when I start it up or do I not have to do this with this cam

its not necessary to do that, but it does help to get the oil pumped up to the rockers and all the bearings faster. start it up. let it idle for a few minutes to make sure everything is good. Then just hold the rpms steady at 2,000 until you see oil start squirting out.

it shouldnt take too long if the weather is warm

Yes, you should, for oiling purposes.

Holding the engine RPMs for a minute or two at 2000rpms also helps splash oil onto the camshaft from the crank whipping, in addition to oiling the rockers.

I would recommend selling the LT4 springs (assuming that's what came with the kit you bought) and getting some better quality springs to ensure that you don't have valve float issues.
