Default timing chain lt1

Do you have a vented opti??? You need this P/N: LUN-93094 if your's is not vented because of the gearing in the middle of cam sprocket. It actually turns the opti: the waterpump is driven off a different pin above the timing chainsetup! Hope this helps

well with mine being a 97 that woulld make it a vented optispark wouldnt it? if it is vented would i be able to use the summit timing chain?

Yes you have a vented opti. I don't see why the link you posted would not work since you are running an EWP. Hopefully someone else who knows for sure can chime in. You will have to clearance the inside of your timing cover when going with a double roller.

ok, so would i be better off goin with a single rollerr or is there that much that i have to clearance

It's not a big deal, you just have to clearance it some with a grinder. You could install your double roller, mark the inside of the cover with a felt tip marker, put the cover on with the old gasket and a couple bolts, rotate the engine, remove cover and clearance wherever the chain wiped away some ink. It might take a few cycles, but you'll get it.
