ive never noticed a difference in the bolts ive used. i just make sure that everything is in the the right way. and heat cycle it three or four times. and almost let the gasekts break in before and hard throttling. but thats just me. also advance and autozone have the bolts with the tabs on the end that when the start to back out the tab presses up against the pipe and wont let it loosen anymore or the have lockwire. same concept except its between two bolts. i found a link for the lockwire kind.

Get the 1 inch stage 8 locking header bolts. Well worth the $50 they cost to not have to worry about bolts backing out. I've run them on several cars and not had one problem. You can get them from Summit.

I bought a set of the percy's splitlock header bolts. Still waitin on them to arrive but I've heard they work great. In the past I've used the stage 8 bolts with locks. The washers are hard to get on and the little clips you have to slide on are a pita.

def .use 1" because of the thick flange on the pacesetter
1" arp stainless or chromemoly work well,
the stage 8 will give you the option of having a allen head which can come handy

This is why I went with stainless 1" ARP bolts. I've never had a problem with them backing out.
