Opening day at the track--New PB times
Well, today was the opening day at the track, so me and a few buddies decided to make the hour trip. And I couldn't have been much happier with how it went. I got new PB's for everything today. The track was hooking great. Too great actually. I still had a slight bog on launches. But, much better than ever before. Right off the bat, I got a new PB in the 1/4, and it was way better than before. I clicked off a 13.217@105.43 with a 2.013 60'. So, I was already excited, and basically ready to quit, because I didn't want to break anything. lol. But, that just gave me more incentive to shoot for 12's. Even though it didn't happen. I was thinking I could get a better 60' with the DR's and suspension, but just kept launching too low. My 2nd run was my new PB for everything. I got a 1.974 60', and ran a 13.205@105.55. My 1/8 mile time on that run was a 8.534@83.59. The rest of the runs just seemed to get worse, but were all 13.2XX@105.XX with 2.XX 60's. So, atleast it was consistant. My only bad run was the last of the day. I tried launching at 4 grand and just roasted them off to a 2.325 60', and 13.823@105. All in all, I'm happy with how the car performed. Now, it's time to throw in the 1.7RR's, get it retuned, since it's still running pig rich. Then, I should be able to hit 12's. If I can't, then I guess I'll have to get some gears.
(Short version)

1/8: 8.534
MPH: 83.59

Yeah, I was hoping for a 13.0, or a 12.9 after that first run. But, I just couldn't get my 60' down. 1st gear is just too long in these cars, so it makes it a bitch to launch with traction. I need to get some 3.90's or 4.10's, and then I should be good to go, and be able to keep the rpms up a little easier, to keep from bogging.

Yep, it's open again today, but I didn't feel like going. I want to get my Spec Stage 3 in before I go again. They were saying yesterday, since it's supposed to be so nice out next weekend, that they're going to move up the first Friday Fun Night to this upcoming Friday. I'm considering going, but still unsure.

Congrats on the new best, i'd say your running really good for having 3.42s & just bolt-ons, now you'll need to move on to the next stage in performance, either gears, or cam ect., if you think it runs good now, drop a 100 shot on it , you'll be in the low 12s with traction & be grinin from ear too ear, what kind of miles are on it?? What clutch??

Thanks. And yeah, I've actually got a few things I'm going to throw in before the next trip. That Spec 3 clutch, I've got some Eibach drag launch springs sitting in the basment, and I was also thinking about ordering the Comp. Eng. 3-way adjustable drag shocks from you guys in the near future. I also want to get some UMI bolt-in SFC's sometime before summer.
