http://www.michiganspeed.com/enginepull/index.html

https://ls1tech.com/forums/lt1-lt4-m...x-removal.html for the heater box.

A/C removal is fairly straight-forward - just remove everything. You will need an A/C delete pulley. Don't forget to discharge the system first!

i had removed it from the top but i had Everything off. it worked out alot easier for me and the amount of time i had to work on the car each day. it would be alot easier pulling it from the bottom tho if you have the time/space

If you have a lift then drop it all out the bottom. If you dont then pull it out the top. I have done it both ways and dropping everything out the bottom is easier.

Whether you take it out the top or the bottom, you still need a hoist.

take the hood off disconnect everything. pull both radiators and if you can the harmonic balancer (itll give you alittle more space but i didnt for when i did it) and the plastic piece for the cowl next to the windshield wipers. there are afew clips that you pull out and its ok. i dissconnected the bolts for the mounts off the block itself and lifted it up alittle and slid it forward. it was real east but i had 2 sets of hands to help

i also made this bracket so it kept it low profile to the block so i could swing it under the cowl. idk if you could use anything else. but i work at a shop so it wasnt so bad

I just removed my engine and tranny intact from the top last weekend and I didn't have to remove the hood at all. It's pretty much straight forward on the removal. Take your time and have someone help you push the cherry picker back while another guy holds onto the motor so it doesn't bang up your engine bay.....cake
