Default Spark plug gap with 6AL BOX...?

I know stock plug gap is 0.050 but what do you think I should change it to with my MSD Blaster Coil, MSD 6AL Box and 8mm Taylor wires...?

No nitrous... Cam only..
Thanks

.050 is relatively huge already no point in going larger.

The ignition goodies are at best a waste of effort though unless you get a spark based rev limit or the like from them. Especially the 96-7 system is plenty strong in stock form and some folks report ignition boxes are rough on the opti.

+1, why do you think you need a 6AL?

Because I got the MSD Box for free and the Blaster coil for $15 and didnt see how this could hurt...

So should I leave the gap at 0.050?

i am going to run .035 to .040. From what i have heard, .050 was aminly for emissions purposes, and is already somewhat of a large gap even for a stock car.

The ignition box is a waste of money unless your using it for 2 step rev limit..and from my personal experience it has hurt my opti so I don't recommend it. If you have stock compression and no nitrous then there's no point in changing the spark plug gap. The coil I thought was a good upgrade until mines burned out after 3k miles.
