Default egr removal question

so i went to remove my egr, (i already have longtube headers w/emissions) i capped the headers, capped the back of the intake... but that metal piping that goes from the back of the intake to the header is being a pain, i cant get to the nut on the small plate on the header in the back... looks liek the tranny dipstick tube is wedged right in there...

anyone deal with this b4?

any tricks? any info?

thx guys

edit: if its impossible to get off unless i remove the header can i just leave that piping connected? will it hurt? lose any power? etc etc?

if you leave the pipe connected you will have exhaust gas come out that pipe, which isnt good. yes i delt with that stupid fitting back there. i had to take a torch to heat it cherry red and bend it using a piece of wood and floor jack while it was still attached to the motor. it wasnt fun.

it helps to have one person on top and another on the bottom to kind of get everything lined and the bolt through for the block off plate.

you may want to take the header off, cut off that fitting since your capping it off and just have it welded shut.
