Default Whay do i do???????

I have a 97 trans am. I swapped in a 95 engine and harness with the computer all tuned for the engine combo. I went to fire it up and it has no fuel pressure or spark. It does turn over though. So I was told it might be a security issue. The guy I bought it from said he had the computer tuned and had all the security removed. So I put in the stock computer and it did the same thing. No fuel pump or spark. Do you guys have any ideas????

I believe your problem is the fact that you are using the '95 wire harness which is different from the '97, most importantly the C100 plug. This should shed some light on the matter:

It doesnt matter that I used the 95 harness? I did check on this site awhile back and everyone said it would work.

AFAIK, You have to rewire the pins on the C100 connector.
A guy on here was doing the exact same thing and had the same no spark, no fuel problem. I believe it was his PCM not getting any power. Try reading the codes off the PCM, I bet you scanner won't pick any signal up.

If you want to save time diagnosing and making the needed changes to make the 95 harness work, just put your 97 harness back in. The 95 PCM is plug and play with it. You should be able to change your harnesses in under 2 hours if you know your way around the engine bay.

Will the 95 computer work with the 97 harness?
