header problems

Default header problems

so i dropped the pace setter long tubes in my car last weekend and the car ran good for a short while and now every time it gets to running temperture it falls all over itself when i put my foot into it.

any ideas?

check your plug wires. i bet one of them is touching the one of the primaries and got burnt to a crisp.

What do you mean falling all over itself? is it bucking, sputtering, etc... if it's bucking and like cutting in and out. yes check your plug wires. i put pacesetters on my car a 2 months ago and thought my wires were out of the way, but they were not. my number 6 wire was burned to a crisp so i had a miss. fixed that by just putting factory 7mm wires in and no more problems. also we need more info. are you running open headers, cause if you are the fresh air getting to the o2's is possibly why it is falling on its face. just a few ideas to look at and think bout. good luck.

damn. i put those little socks over the wires, guess il have to check em today, thanks for the insight tho

i put the heat sleeves over mine and found out the hard way you can still melt a wire through them if its close enough to the primary
