No, only the corvettes came with 4-bolt mains and the f-bodies came with 2-bolt mains.

some guys got lucky with the leftover vette blocks from 96, If your very lucky a 97 could have a 4bolt. Other than that only if you bought a LT4 car.

Mine is a 4 bolt but that was a crate engine Got that under warranty when the pickup fell off and spun the #4 rod bearing.

I have never heard of anybody getting anything but a 2 bolt main in a F-Body, save for the LT4.

Rob makes a good point, warranty engines were 4-bolt, as well as the Vette, LT4 and a few oddball late production f-body LT1s.

That said by the time the 4-bolt becomes meaningful you should be putting aftermarket caps on it and that requires a fair bit of machining so you aren't really gaining anything by having a factory 4-bolt. Well other than weight.

There is only one LTx casting for the block.

I bought an x police camaro with a replacement motor and it is a 4bolt. It also has NO oil cooler on it, which might help some id a replacement motor.

There is some mis-information in this thread. ALL corvettes had the 4-bolt main blocks (LT1 and LT4), and a select lucky few '97 f bodys.

I don't see where anyone suggested any Vettes got 2-bolt.

Not all lt1's are 2 bolt, just most of em in the f- bodys. I got an the lt1 out of a 92 vette, the first year lt1's were put in em, and its a 4 bolt.
