Default Thinking about a new exhaust setup-Good or bad idea?

I currently have Pacesetter LTs, ORY, and a Borla catback. I met someone this weekend who had just put a muffler on his why and dumped it before the rearend. It sounded pretty good and by doing so, he was able to loose some weight. My thinking is, if I were to do it, I could lose about 35 pounds and come out ahead after the sale of my catback. But would I be losing any power in the process? If I angle the turndown towards the side of the car, I'd imagine I could negate most/all of the drone. Thoughts?

thats the exact set-up i have, but with a turndown facing down. i love it. can't really comment on a performance advantage because i did the headers at the same time

no droning, that i actually notice anyway. if there is, its very minimal. even with a bullet its still quiet enough to listen to the radio just fine. but its still loud enough to get attention

How about carrying a conversation? Did you just dump it after the bullet or run a pipe towards the side of the car?

After hearing two LT1's with LT's and Borla in person within the last week I would say the weight savings would definetly not be worth it. Thats just my opinion though.

never thought about weight savings til recently, and i've had it over a year. i like the sound, and a conversation is no problem. its hard to hear if i'm on my cell phone and driving, but thats the only time its ever an issue
